Its gas heater, rechargeable battery, pump and shower head work together to draw water from your vehicle tank, a portable container or a permitted natural source, then deliver steady hot water in seconds.

Been living out of our camper and doing long overland trips for the past few months, and this ThermoFlow heater has been one of those things we actually use every single day.
Set up is easy, doesn’t take much space in the rig, and heats water way faster than I expected. After a cold morning or a dusty trail day, having a proper hot shower out in the middle of nowhere feels pretty luxurious.
Battery life has been solid so far. We usually get through a whole weekend trip without worrying about charging it constantly. Temperature control is also surprisingly stable no random freezing or burning water halfway through a shower.
What I like most is that it feels built for actual outdoor use, not just backyard camping. We’ve used it at campsites, beach runs, and remote spots with no issues.
Definitely worth carrying if you spend a lot of time on the road or off-grid.

Had just one shower yet in our overlander camper and already love the ThermoFlow - oh, and made hot water for the dishes. Stunning product that works with the same gas canisters as our gas cooker.
The only downside (for us!) was the water pump having too large a diameter to fit in the water jerrycan attached to the vehicle. It was an easy fix to solder on a different pump, though.

What else do I need to get started?
Every kit includes ThermoFlow with its rechargeable battery, pump and shower head. You’ll also need a compatible gas canister and a suitable water source. Gas canisters and water containers are not included.
How long can I use ThermoFlow off-grid?
You don’t need a mains or vehicle power connection during use. Gas heats the water; the rechargeable battery powers the pump and controls.
- Battery: up to 180 minutes per charge without charging other devices. That is equivalent to up to 36 five-minute sessions of pump-and-control operation, not 180 minutes of heating from one gas canister.
- 450g camping gas canister, heating 20°C water to 40°C: approximately 90 minutes of heated use, or 18 five-minute showers.
- 450g camping gas canister, heating 0°C water to 40°C: approximately 45 minutes of heated use, or 9 five-minute showers.
- Water: a five-minute shower at the fixed 2.5 L/min shower-head flow uses approximately 12.5 litres.
Shower counts are calculated estimates based on five minutes of continuous flow at 2.5 L/min. Actual runtime varies with inlet-water temperature, selected temperature, ambient conditions, canister type and other use. Allow for any additional washing or setup use. Heating requires both battery power and gas; a charge’s battery runtime is not a guarantee of hot-water runtime from a single canister.
Where can I draw water from?
Use a portable container or your vehicle’s onboard water tank. A suitable river or lake may also be used where permitted, with an appropriate inlet filter. ThermoFlow is a water heater, not a water purifier; heating does not make untreated water safe to drink.
Is it only for showers?
No. Use warm water for washing up, rinsing outdoor gear or cleaning muddy paws as well as showering. Choose a suitable temperature for the task and check the water before use.
How do I choose a kit?
Essential Kit: the ThermoFlow unit. Go Kit: adds a protective carry bag and FlexArm Support. Camp Kit: adds a protective carry bag and vehicle-mounted privacy tent; it does not include FlexArm Support. Compare the full contents and current prices in the kit guide above.
Which gas canister or adaptor should I use?
Check compatibility before buying a canister or adaptor. Send a photo of your proposed gas canister and connection to support@nomadia.shop so we can help you confirm the correct setup. Follow the product’s operating instructions.
Can ThermoFlow charge my phone or camera?
Yes. ThermoFlow’s USB-C port provides up to 30W output to charge compatible phones, cameras and other USB-chargeable devices.
- Keep ThermoFlow switched on while using the USB-C output, and connect your device with a suitable charging cable.
- You can charge a device while the hot water system is running. Gas provides the heat; the battery powers the pump, controls and USB-C output.
- Actual charging power depends on your device and cable. Check that your device supports compatible USB charging.
External charging uses the same built-in battery and reduces the runtime available for ThermoFlow. The advertised up-to-180-minute runtime does not also guarantee a separate allowance for charging other devices.
